We had a great night back in January for our first new monthly photographer social event - lots of new faces and really interesting discussions - and we want the second to be even better!

We have a fantastic and inspirational guest speaker lined up (see below) and we'll be talking some more about our new collaboration planned with Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies to revive the Photo Essay as a quality (real) News platform in Wales.

And we're asking you again to bring along one (or two) of your favourite Photobooks to show others on the night and introduce them to the work of a photographer they've yet to discover. Or even better, if you've produced any of your own, bring them along for others to see or purchase!

We'd love this to be a regular feature of these monthly meet-ups! Or also bring along examples of some new photography you're working on - there will be some talented professionals attending if you'd like some feedback.

Photographer Tim Collier.

Our guest speaker is the very talented Tim Collier - a wildlife (amongst other things) photographer and recently retired from the University of South Wales where he was a popular and respected lecturer on the photography course. He will be sharing advice and tips on coming up with personal photography project ideas - on your own or in collaboration with others - and seeing them through. Tim will talk for around half an hour and we'll then have a discussion with the opportunity to ask questions.
This is a great opportunity to chat personally with (and pick the brains of) a practicing Pro photographer and great teacher! Tim's talk will start 7.30pm

Our venue for February is upstairs in Revolution
(opposite Cardiff Castle's front clock tower)
9 - 11 Castle Street, Cardiff, CF10 1BS

Access is through the front entrance and all we ask is £2.50 per person to help cover venue costs.

We hope you can join us from 7pm Thursday 16th February to help create a buzzing monthly social scene for photographers to meet, share work, ideas and develop photography in Wales!
