New exhibition of photographs by Denis Lewis of the Blues and Jazz musicians he has photographed over the last 40 years.
Lewis first started taking photographs of blues artists back in 1967, with Muddy Waters being his first sitter. But he didn't take photographs seriously until he became a student on the Documentary Photography course in Newport from 1983 - 85. Since then he has continued to photograph musicians from around the world. His work has been published in The Wire, Q, and NME magazines and his photographs featuring as CD and album covers art.
This exhibition a personal selection of some of his favourite images which take in not only blues, but also jazz and rock.
Exhibition runs 8 July - 5 August
