Crisis, the UK homeless charity, commissioned photographer Roger Tiley to produce a body of work in conjunction with their members.
Made in sections of 16 tiles, each forms a single portrait image which is pasted on walls in sections. Some of the members had been or were still sleeping rough in Swansea. So the locations visited are strongly connected to their memories and relationship with the area.
Roger asked some of the members to write about their past, present and future ambitions. Each of their hand written texts are included on the final exhibition prints and any grammatical errors remain uncorrected, leaving the imagery gritty and hard hitting.
The exhibition, being held at Swansea Grand Theatre from 10-21 July consists of some twenty 60 x 40 inch images under the title 'What If!'
A show preview will take place 4-6pm on Thursday 13 July. All welcome.
