Our first #ffotonsocial in South West Wales!
We’re excited to have another #ffotonsocial for photographers - this time at the very funky Cinema & Co. in the centre of Swansea.
We're delighted to have photographers SKIN PHILLIPS and MOHAMED HASSAN as our guest speakers!
Both have previously featured in conversations here on the Ffoton website - but will dig deeper into discussing images from their portfolios and their own approach to photography at this event.
Also joining us will be a member of the new South Wales Project to outline how photographers from across south Wales - east and west - can contribute to their new documentary study of contemporary Wales.
Hailing from Swansea and regarded as a legend in world skateboard photography, Skin’s career in the sport spanned over 30 years.
He’s worked as a photographer and had his images featured in some of the world's leading skate magazines, been editor-in-chief of Transworld magazine and the skate team manager at powerhouse brand Adidas.
Living in Pembrokeshire since 2007, Mohamed graduated with a First from the photography BA Degree course at Carmarthen School of Art in 2016. Currently building a very impressive and sensitive portfolio of portraiture and landscape in the commercial market, Mo also had one of his portraits included in the 2018 Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait exhibition.
Join us from 6.30pm Thursday 21 March. Event starts 7.00pm prompt.
Our venue is:
Cinema & Co. 17 Castle Street, Swansea, Wales, SA1 1JF
Entry in free, however voluntary contributions are welcome to help fund future events.
