After a few distractions over last couple of months our next #ffotonsocial is back in Little Man Coffee Co. in Cardiff Thursday 25 October!

With a fantastic selection of #portraitcymru prints adorning the walls, we thought it ideal to host the next social for photographers in the Little Man Coffee Co. space in Cardiff. As we won’t have a guest speaker joining us, this event is free to attend and gives us a chance to meet and chat with old and new faces on the photography scene in a more relaxed setting.

The #portraitcymru exhibition in Aberystwyth as part of The 2018 EYE International Photography Festival

Ffoton’s #portraitcymru exhibition in Aberystwyth featured the work of 11 participating photographers from around Wales

Whilst our impressive 10 metre #portraitcymru exhibition wall at the recent EYE International Photography Festival only had a short run from 5-13 October in Aberystwyth Arts Centre to coincide with the Festival, this month-long exhibition in Cardiff (it has actually been extended to 11 November!) features not only a selection from the 11 photographers in the Aberystwyth show but has portraits by another 16 photographers from around Wales - one of which (by photographer Steve Irwin) features on the cover of the new 40 page zine produced to accompany the two exhibitions and act as a catalogue of all the images shown.

And speaking of zines… we loved seeing a selection of self-published zines and books brought along by people to the EYE Festival - so if you have any of your own in rough, finished or book dummy form, bring them along to this next social!

We will have copies of the #portraitcymru zine available at this social for a reduced price on the night - but also a limited number of copies of the new and very special Peter Jones ‘Wales’ book published by Café Royal Books; and first issue copies of the new biannual offline journal documenting photography in and from Wales.

So join us from 7-9pm (we’ll be there from 6.30pm) in The Little Man Coffee Co. on Bridge Street (behind the St Davids 2 shopping centre) for a relaxed evening of photography chat, hugs and drinks.
