We’re Delighted to reveal the photographers who will be exhibiting work in Aberystwyth during (and after) the EYE International Photography Festival 2018 in October!

We enthusiastically accepted The EYE Festival’s offer of a large public exhibition wall inside the Aberystwyth Arts Centre venue and decided it would be perfect for a rather special #portraitcymru show of selected work from the Instagram feed!

Massive thanks to the photographers below for agreeing to take part - each has contributed work that will be seen by not just by the attendees of The EYE Festival but also the art-loving public of Aberystwyth following the Festival and, as an extra bonus, we’ve selected an image by each to appear in our Cardiff shows which run through October in The Little Man Coffee Co.
We will be providing news and updates on the Aberystwyth show here on this page.

‘The Faithful’
a portrait of modern Welsh religion

#portraitcymru

As you might expect, we’ve been watching the #portraitcymru feed on Instagram since we created the tag in January 2018 and a few photographers have stood out through the quality and creative approach of their portraiture and use of our tag.

We were therefore absolutely delighted when Matthew Eynon accepted our offer to not only participate in our Aberystwyth #portraitcymru exhibition but also show a small selection of his current project in-progress - The Faithful: A portrait of modern Welsh Religion

We’ve had sight of the prints (produced by the very excellent ProLab at Davies Colour in Cardiff) and they’re going to look fantastic alongside the work of our other 10 exhibiting photographers at this year’s EYE International Photography Festival.

We hope to see you in Aberystwyth for what should be a fantastic 5-7 October weekend of talks, exhibitions, networking and discussion!
