Following on from their pre-Christmas David Hurn exhibition, Thru The Lens Gallery opens a new year with ‘Golden Valley Faces’ - a unique exhibition of prints from glass plates by late nineteenth century photographer Richard Jenkins.
Described as ‘a vivid portrait of life in a remote Herefordshire valley at the start of the twentieth century’, the exhibition accompanies a book celebrating the work of this self-taught photographer through a selection of prints made from nearly a hundred surviving glass plates.
The exhibition runs from Saturday 8 January - Sunday 13 February 2022
Normal gallery opening hours:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday 10.00am - 4.00pm
(You may wish to check with gallery for current opening hours before visiting.)
