Photographer Zed Nelson will be discussing the strategies he employs as a storyteller seeking to question, inform and reflect upon challenging issues of our time.
Having previously shown at MOSTYN as part of the Slate Sea exhibition (May-Nov 2015), Zed gained recognition and major awards as a documentary photographer working in some of the most troubled areas of the world. Nelson’s work has taken him from documenting war, to America’s deadly love affair with with gun, and finally to his own doorstep – reflecting on gentrification in Hackney, the London borough in which he grew up. In equal measure documentarian, artist and anthropologist, Zed Nelson interrogates our culture and focuses upon contemporary social issues.
