Sài Gòn, a dream is a solo exhibition by young Vietnamese photographer, Voshida Truong. Hailing from Tien Gian in the south of Vietnam, Voshida lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon (or Sài Gòn in Vietnamese).
His multiple exposures on film capture the contrasts of the city - the grand and the intimate, the rush and the chaos, but also the quiet and contemplative moments. They also look beyond the city borders, towards the freedom of natural landscapes.
Despite their surreal aesthetic, Voshida’s photographs offer the subtle and sensitive gaze of a street photographer who looks at the human and personal dimension of life in a metropolis.
