IN CONVERSATION WITH EMYR YOUNG.
Cardiff, SOUTH WALES, DECEMBER 2014

Jon Pountney YN SGWRSIO GYDAG EMYR YOUNG
Caerdydd, De Cymru, Rhagfyr 2014

Commercial and Documentary photographer Jon Pountney is based in South Wales.

With a passion for photography and image culture from the 1970's and 80's, Jon has had the pleasure of rediscovering lost historical images from both Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys that almost mirror his own style of image making.

We spoke to Jon in the late stages of production of his documentary on Valleys photography - show on BBC2 Wales in late March 2015. As ever, Jon was open and frank about his passion for photography in and of Wales.

Mae Jon yn ffotograffydd masnachol a dogfennol sydd yn byw a gweithio yn ne Cymru.

Mae Jon yn hoff o ffotograffiaeth y '70au a'r '80au  Mae e wedi ailddarganfod lluniau hanesyddol o ardal Caerdydd a'r cymoedd ac mae'r gwaith yma yn cael ei adlewyrch yn ei waith personol.

Fe wnaethon ni siarad â Jon tra roedd ynghanol cynhyrchiad yn dogfenni ffotograffiaeth y cymoedd a ymddangosodd ddiwedd mis Mawrth 2015. Mae agwedd Jon tuag at ffotograffiaeth yng Nghymru yn ddigyfaddawd ac heb flewyn ar dafod ac fe glywch hynny yn y sgwrs.
