Starting his photography career in gritty photojournalism, Marc Vallée is a London-based documentary photographer whose work explores the tension between public and private space in the context of contemporary youth culture. His sought-after limited edition Zines are held in the library collections of Tate Britain in London and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Ffoton invited Marc to Cardiff in May 2016 as one of our Ffoton Talks guest speakers and we grabbed the opportunity to sit down with him before the public event to dig deeper into his career in photography.

Wedi dechrau ei yfra ym myd ffotograffeg newyddiadurol garw, mae Marc Vallèe bellach yn ffotograffydd dogfen â'i waith yn archwilio'r tensiwn rhwng gofod cyhoeddus a chudd yng ngyd-destun diwylliant ieuenctid. Mae ei argraffiadau cyfyngedig Zines i'w gweld yng nghasgliadau llyfrgell Tate Britain, Llundain ac Amgueddfa Gelf Modern Efrog Newydd.

Rhoddwyd gwahoddiad i Marc ymweld â Chaerdydd ym mis Mai 2016 fel un o siaradwyr gwâdd Ffoton. Bachom ni ar y cyfle i'w holi ymhellach am ei yrfa ym myd ffotograffiaeth.
