CARDIFF, SOUTH WALES, DECEMBER 2015

NIGEL PUGH YN SGWRSIO GYDAG BRIAN CARROLL.
CAERDYDD, DE CYMRU, RHAGFYR 2015

Based in Cardiff, Nigel Pugh is a Social and Environmental photographer with a passion for documenting and promoting the relationship between people and the ecology of the natural environment in and around their local communities. His event and documentary photography records the tensions between ordinary citizens, activists, State and Business in protecting an ongoing symbiotic relationship with nature and the promotion of a more socially equitable society.

In 2015 he staged his first photography exhibition YOUR NATURE - ‘TO PRESERVE AN EPHEMERAL STATE’ in Cardiff with a percentage of print sales going to Friends of the Earth Cyrmu and Wildlife Trusts Wales.

Rebecca Thomas IN CONVERSATION WITH BRIAN CARROLL.
Cardiff, SOUTH WALES, September 2015

REBECCA THOMAS YN SGWRSIO GYDAG BRIAN CARROLL.
Caerdydd, DE CYMRU, Medi 2015

Rebecca Thomas, Cardiff 2015.

2015 has proven to be a whirlwind of activity and experience for up and coming photographer Rebecca Thomas. Although she's still studying for her photography Degree, Rebecca 'Sunflower Photography' keeps herself immersed in a wide variety of her own photography projects: portraits, shooting bands for Virgin and, more recently, spotted and mentored by renowned 70's Music photographer and Welshman Chalkie Davies.

Ffoton chats with Rebecca on her photography journey so far on a sunny Autumn day by Cardiff's Roath Park Lake. Excuse the ducks and geese!

We're also delighted to help showcase promising new Welsh talent like Rebecca as the fourth and final guest photographer in our month-long exhibition at The Littleman Coffee Co. in Cardiff during October 2015.

Dan Wood is a documentary photographer living in Bridgend, South Wales. Working exclusively in film, Dan is a member of the Documenting Britain Collective and has produced a wide ranging body of work on different themes but his best known, and probably most controversial, is the ongoing detailed study of his hometown in his 'Suicide Machine' project.

We spoke with Dan on his route into photography, his passion for film and Icelandic folklore.

Y mae Dan Wood yn ffotograffydd dogfennol sydd yn byw ac yn gweithio ym Mhen-y-bont de Cymru ac yn gweithio ar ffilm ac yn aelod o gydweithfa Documenting Britain. Y mae e wedi gweithio ar themâu diddorol a'r mwyaf dadlennol ohonynt 'Suicide Machine' sef astudiaeth fanwl o dref Pen-y-bont.

Cawsom sgwrs gyda Dan ar ei siwrne ffotograffig, ei gariad o ffilm a llen gwerin Gwlad yr Ia.

Light, solitude and landscape are the amalgam that make Tim Collier tick as a photographer. His ability to see is second to none and his work on the landscape of Wales is stunning and extensive.

Nature has always played an important part in Tim's photography and bird photography has dominated his recent output. His understanding of birds is reflected in his sublime, remarkable and beautiful photographs.

Tim is a superb practitioner in many aspects of photography and Ffoton is proud to announce him as our 1st featured photographer.

Golau, unigedd a'r tirlun yw'r cyfuniad sydd wrth wraidd Tim Collier y ffotograffydd. Mae ei allu i weld yr hyn sydd o'i gwmpas yn ail i neb a'i ddelweddau helaeth o Gymru yn rhagorol.

Mae natur a'r cysylltiad ysbrydol a'r hyn sydd o'i gwmpas yn rhan annatod o waith Tim.

Yn ddiweddar mae tynnu lluniau adar wedi dwyn ei fryd. Mae ei ddealltwriaeth ohonynt yn wych ac yn cael ei fynegi trwy ei luniau rhyfeddol.

Heb os mae Tim Collier yn ffotograffydd o fri ac mae Ffoton yn hynod falch mae ef yw ein ffotograffydd gwadd cyntaf.
